What is the role of Iron?

Iron is a nutrient that's essential to your child's growth & development. It is also critical for optimal brain functioning.1

Lack of iron means lower levels of hemoglobin leading to anemia, tiredness, weakness, increased susceptibility to infection.2

Children with iron deficiency in infancy continue to have poorer cognition & school achievement & more behaviour problems into middle childhood.2

Prevention of iron deficiency in early childhood is, therefore, an important public health issue. 2
