My child is allergic to cow's milk protein, how long can this allergy last?

Around 80% of children will outgrow their cow’s milk allergy by the age of 3 to 5 years. The skin and gastrointestinal manifestations tend to improve. First, the child will be able to tolerate small quantities, then with time he/she will be able to be fed large amounts of cow’s milk protein.

For kids who developed anaphylactic reactions upon cow’s milk protein introduction, it is forbidden to introduce cow’s milk protein without medical supervision.1
