At what age does each tooth appears and falls?

The differences in sizes, shape and location in the jaw enable the teeth to work together to chew snacks, speak, smile, and give the face its shape and form.2

 

A child usually has 20 primary teeth, which start to erupt at about 6 months of age until 3 years old and fall out starting 6 years old until 12 years of age. By the time the chid is a teenage, he will have his 32 permanent adult teeth.1

 

Below is the approx. age where primary teeth erupt and fall out:1,2

  1. Lower central incisors erupt between 6-10 months old and fall out at the age of 6-7 years old
  2. Upper central incisors erupt between 8-12months old and fall out at the age of 6-7 years old
  3. Lower lateral incisors erupt between 10-16 months old and fall out at the age of 7-8years old
  4. Upper lateral incisors erupt between 9-13 months old and fall out at the age of 7-8years old
  5. Upper first molars erupt between 13-19 months old and fall out at the age of 9-11 years old
  6. Lower first molars erupt between 14-18 months old and fall out at the age of 9-11 years old
  7. Upper canine erupt between 16-22 months old and fall out at the age of 10-12 years old
  8. Lower canine erupt between 17-23 months old and fall out at the age of 9-12 years old
  9. Lower second molars erupt between 23-31 months old and fall out at the age of 10-12 years old
  10. Upper second molars erupt between 25-33 months old and fall out at the age of 10-12 years old
