What is the best temperature for a toddler to drink?

In summer adults and children enjoy an Ice-cold cup of water to beat their thirst. Drinking chilled water on a hot day is stimulating, but cold drinks have several side effects according to Medical News Today.

To a child, Ice-cold water will not just hurt their throat, but can make them suffer from numerous health issues too. Based on doctors’ recommendations, room-temperature water is best for the body to absorb the water quickly and get rehydrated.1

Based on expert medical opinion, what greatly improves digestion and detoxification, is room temperature or warm water. It also has a positive impact on relieving constipation and nasal and throat congestion.

It’s also important to mention that cold water lowers body temperature quickly compared to warm water and should therefore be given after your child comes back from evening play or during a hot sweaty day.2

And when it comes to milk for your toddler, there is no significant difference between milk whether  warm or at room temperature, depending on your child’s preference.3
