How can I prepare a great playroom for my child?

Playrooms are spaces designed to offer the child a place where he/she can develop skills such as their fine and gross motor skills, it’s also a place that promotes engagement rather than just entertainments. (1)

A playroom must be safe to begin with, simple, clean with a limited number of carefully selected age-appropriate toys:

  1. Selected activities
  2. Everything displayed nicely at the child’s level
  3. Include some open space for movement
  4. Use toys that promote engagement over entertainment
  5. Have a set place for items to create order/routine
  6. Mix in variety of activities
  7. Cozy place that your child will enjoy (2)
