How to identify symptoms of an anemic toddler?

Anemia is a condition in which you lack enough healthy red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to your body's tissues. Anemia is a common health problem in children.

The Symptoms of iron deficiency anemia in children include:

  1. Pale skin
  2. Irritability or fussiness
  3. Lack of energy or fatigue
  4. Fast heartbeat
  5. Sore or swollen tongue
  6. Enlarged spleen
  7. Wanting to eat odd substances, such as dirt or ice (also called pica)
