Is the time spent on tablets and TV related to eye and vision problems?

While staring at the blue light coming from a screen, a child tends to blink less, and the eyes work harder to focus on it. In addition, we tend not to position the screen at a certain distance or angle. Thus, that leads to spending too much time on screens (tablets or TV), causing eye strain and affecting the vision 1,2

Screen time’s effect on vision may include: eye fatigue, double vision, irritated eyes, near-sightedness, retinal damage 2
