Can my kid become dependent on sound machines to sleep?

To help your children sleep better at night, pediatricians often recommend relaxing activities, such as warm bath.

It is ok for some children can sleep with some noise as your child doesn’t need a silent room to sleep. In some cases, it is easier for your child to go to sleep when noise levels are kept consistent. On the other hand, if your child gets used to falling asleep to noise, hearing less noise might wake him up. Or a sudden loud noise might wake him. A radio played quietly or white noiselike a fan or a radio tuned to static can be soothing for your child. These can also block out sudden noises.1
